Happy Mother's Day to all the moms and mother figures in this world.
It was a sleepless night when I sat up in bed, and against my better judgment, I reached for my phone and began scrolling TikTok. I stumbled on a video of a woman saying, “Pain is the touchstone of spiritual growth." This saying got me… she - got - me. At this moment, I had been battling the effects of SADD. Seasonal Affective Disorder Depression. Over the years, I have been affected by this from time to time. It seemed like this past winter, the grips of this disorder kept pulling me down.Soon I was captivated by the positivity of this delightful woman. She was raw, open, and willing to share her story. She said that “pain is the touchstone to spiritual growth.” Tracy reminded me that to become stronger, I needed to go through feeling the feels. She reminded me gratitude is a touchpoint.
