Being a mom can be a challenge! Juggling work, life, and raising a family is a full-time job…more like three full-time jobs. Add on the fact that many assume that parenting is inherent…when it's actually confusing, scary, and downright difficult! Today, we are addressing that in our newest podcast guest, Dr. Kristen Cook.

Kristen is a pediatrician, mommy, wife, author, and a strong believer that parents can change the world. She began her journey by graduating Summa Cum Laude from Marquette University with a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Psychology. She then went to Creighton University Medical School, where she earned her Medical Doctor's degree and graduated with honors.

After medical school, she spent three years in a pediatric residency program at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. Now, Kristen has been in private practice for the past 11 years and has had the honor of providing high-quality medical care to tens of thousands of children during my career. 

One of the coolest parts Kristen mentioned was that many of her former patients have grown up, had babies, and now have her as a second-generation pediatrician.

Kristen believes that no matter your background, no matter your past, every single parent can develop the tools and the skills that they need to not only be a great parent but the best version of themselves as well.
