Welcome back, Daniel Collins. What a pleasure to have Handsome Hot Husband with us today. It is fantastic and good to be back. How is your little hiatus? My hiatus was, you know, pretty busy. Still is. Where you been? Tell the listeners, what have you been up to? Well, it's been a bunch of things. I haven't been anywhere. It's just, you've been giving me some latitude to do some things to get Honeydew lists completed. Yeah, among other things. To do, we've had some great, incredible new clients come on board for podcasting. And that's been incredible getting their shows. Yeah, we should talk about them. But before we do that, you talked about Honeydew list. What is the greatest thing you've done in this world, Honeydew list related? The greatest thing in this world, Honeydew list? The greatest accomplishment in your Honeydew list. How's that? Oh, I'm looking at it right now. Yeah, me? I didn't do you. Oh. (Both Laughing) Not today, did I? Oh my God. I'm sorry. Here we go again. I forgot we're on the show. We're on the show. I can't say stuff like that. But we do say stuff like that from time to time. It's not the norm. I'm looking at it right now. We did a bathroom remodel and I'm sure Julie's been talking about it. I've been talking about it on brave moves, but not in constant confidence. Constant confidence has been interviews and interviews alone. So I'm looking at it right now, got a gorgeous shower. Yeah, it's fantastic. Probably the greatest part about the bathroom remodel is that the washer and dryer now live on the first floor and not in the basement. I have to say the greatest thing in the bathroom remodel, I mean, like there's so many parts to it that I really enjoy. I love the new toilet. It's a fancy toilet. That's the only part I didn't have anything to do with other than installing it. Well, I love the toilet. I also love having the washer and dryer here in the main floor. And I love that shower. And I love that I can shower in the bathroom that has a window. Well, the thing is, we started this bathroom remodel by just, hey, we're gonna pull the tub out, put a shower in and we're gonna get this set up so your mom can move downstairs. Correct. Yeah. And? We're gonna leave everything else the same. Well. That didn't happen. Mission creep, new shower, new vanity, new toilet, new floor. And every single one of it was a challenge. And then we got to the end for the shower. Like, well, you know what? I don't think a curtain's just gonna do it. No. Shower door. So, and then I put the mirror up and I'm like, well, you know what if this had some lighting behind the mirror that glowed on the wall? Do you think you're a perfectionist? Do I think I'm a perfectionist? No, I don't. I think I'm particular. But there comes a point when you get to, I'm perfectionist in some things. Okay. But there gets a point in, hey, this is the way it has to be done. I accept that. Okay. And there it is. It looks good. Looks, I mean, looks great. And the only person, like the things that I know aren't perfect, the only person that's noticed so far is me. Of course. I would notice. So yeah, so I guess I'm a perfectionist at heart, but. At heart. I know when to let go. You know when to let go. So for the listeners who maybe started listening to "Casa de Confidence" while you were in your little hiatus, this is handsome, hot husband. And he has been the producer of the show. Yes. And my co-host and life and podcasting. Producer, editor, and I have not been editing the show for quite some time now. No, because we are expanding and you are expanding and we are, our new clients need to benefit from your particular expertise and sound and visuals. And until we get. By your saying I have a particular set of skills. You have lots of skills, Daniel Collins. That was a reference to a Liam Neeson movie. Oh, I never heard that. I wouldn't have known that. You think everybody would have known that? Some people may have known it. I didn't do a good Liam Neeson accent, but. I don't think you have an expertise in. It's the one where, so what's the, he did a bunch of them. It was a bunch of sequels too. Where his daughter is kidnapped. What? In the first movie and they didn't realize he's like a bad-ass or whatever. Listen, did you know that I used to run into Liam Neeson? He used to go to this restaurant with his wife, Natasha. Was it Natasha or Natalie? What was her name? Now I'm confused. I don't know. But anyway, he used to sit, they used to sit outside because I used to go to the vet right around the corner. Lincoln, Lincoln vet. When you lived in New York? When I lived in New York and they used to sit outside and it was like this nice little restaurant, Italian, and they would just sit there and everybody would just kind of pass them and nobody would bother them. And the saddest thing is that after she died, he would still sit out there. And my heart would always break for him sitting out there alone, lonely, and it just, yeah, sad. So anyway, now it's gonna bother me. I need to look up who he is married to. Okay. How do you spell his name? Because God forbid. Oh, hold on, Liam Neeson, like the car, apparently. No. Yes, that's what came up on Google. That's not how you spell. Yes, it is. Liam Neeson, actually. How do you spell Neeson? N-I-S-S-A-N. It's N. I don't know. Listen. Liam spells his last name N-E-E-S-O-M. See, okay, not for nothing, but I typed in Liam and the first thing that Google recommended was Neeson with an I. But I see now that it's-- It's Natasha Richardson. Natasha Richardson. I was almost, it was at the tip of my tongue. Anyhow, let's talk a little bit more about what do we have in store for "Custa Confidence"? We've celebrated our sixth year of the podcast. Six years, wow. I know, can you believe? Yeah. It is unbelievable that we've been podcasting for six years and it is so exciting that not only do we still get to do this because we love it, but we get to help others who are in this path, who have a passion for what they do and their expertise. So I think that that's one of the things that I love about the work that we do. Now, who do you think is our oldest client? Not old in age, but old in-- What client do you think has been with us the longest? Yes, that would be the question. Well, I know the answer to that. You do? You're my oldest client. (Both Laughing) Now, without me. That would be Jane Pilger. Oh my God, Jane Pilger. And you know what she's celebrating? What is she celebrating? Next week. Okay. Next Wednesday, the second of September. Okay. Is her 200th episode. (Lauren Gasps) Oh my God, has it been 200 already? 200 episodes. Oh my God. I'm starting that with an episode that's called "20 Things You Need to Know to Stop Binge Eating." This is Jane-- And her podcast is Binge Eating Breakthrough. Yep. But 200 episodes, how did it get to be 200 episodes already for Jane? It's crazy. It is crazy, I think that-- It is crazy. And one of the things that I love about Jane, and Jane has been my coach in the past, and I love just the gentle knowledge and wisdom that she has, and the way that she is compassionate, but yet tell it like it is in a soft kind of way. Does that make sense? Like, am I explaining that correctly? Yes. What would be an adjective that you would use to describe Jane? An adjective. Yeah. Calmly, confident, and reassuring. She is reassuring, I love that. Yeah. I think that that's a very good adjective for Jane. She's really strong. She's strong though. She is super strong. Super strong. She's done the Ironman and Kona, Hawaii, and just, she did the Boston Marathon this year. Yeah. Do you think you'll ever do a marathon, Dan? No. (Laughs) You have no interest in doing a marathon? No. Why? Not for me, it's not something that I have to prove to myself to do that. I don't think running a marathon is about proving something to yourself. Well, kind of, you gotta, for me, that's not a milestone for me personally. What would be a milestone? For others that are doing it. Yes. Yeah, that's amazing. So what would be a milestone for you then? I really don't know. A milestone for me. Yeah, like you've accomplished building a business with me. You have a great job in this other world of airspace. But what are milestones that you think maybe you wanna hit? I don't always measure, I've never thought to measure my life in milestones. Really? I've always thought of measuring my life on a day-to-day accomplishment. You don't think of your life in chapters like I do? I do not. I think we're in a good chapter. I think we're in a good chapter. It's an interesting chapter because we're caregivers too. So that's another piece of the puzzle. I know, I did a thing on my computer. I was like, you know what, I need to, I wanna have a startup screen for my computer. And so I asked chat to, I asked chat GPT to create a logo for it. Instead of creating a logo, like a splash screen when your computer starts up, it says the name of your like Dell or whatever it says. It gave me a full like background. A screen saver. I thought it was appropriate for us. It kinda defines our current chapter. I don't know how that defines our current chapter because it may look good. But listen, that's actually a real picture of us. I know it's a real picture. It's from red, white and chocolate. And it is from February of 2020, before the world changed. So it says Casa da Confidence, Julian Dan, powered by confidence, built with passion, driven by love. Oh, good morning though, look at that. Okay, well, I'm gonna have to take a screenshot without you in the picture. I'll give you a screenshot. My desk is a mess. I'm gonna crop it out. Oh, you're gonna crop it out? I'm gonna crop out your desk, although I'm not any better. I think that because I still feel like we're in this construction mode, like everywhere is in such disarray, I can't. My brain is exhausted by that. But listen, there's good things about AI and there's also, it's getting to a point where I think we are having a hard time knowing what's real and what's not when we get to AI. Yeah, you gotta be careful with it. Yeah, but I do like how it created that little splash and I don't know if I wanna stare at myself. You look fantastic and so handsome as always. Oh, you look great too. Yeah, it's a good picture of me, I will say that. I'm probably not gonna leave this on all four of my screens like that. You what? I'm probably not gonna leave that on there because it's like, since I-- It's staring at you all the time? I put it up as a screen saver and I've got four monitors and two, it's a lot. Okay, not for nothing. It's like a crowd of us looking back. The thing is, okay, the thing is, you know, you tend to say that I'm like more full of myself but I never have a picture of myself in my screenshot. Well, you're just thinking about yourself all the time so you don't need the picture. I don't know if I'm thinking about myself all the time. You have a mental image of your beautifulness? I don't know about that. Hey, speaking of beautifulness. Of course I'm joking. Okay, speaking of beautifulness. Yes. I'm gonna announce it because I was told not to do it but guess what, I'm gonna have to do it because I don't know, I wanna toot my own horn for a little bit. Toot toot? Toot toot. Well, I guess we can toot your horn too because you're a part of it. Okay, so "Cast Out of Confidence" was awarded Best Podcast in New England by Women in Podcasting Magazine. In New England? In New England. Yeah? Yeah. Amazing. So in the category, because there's different categories and I only entered in one. So, but that's exciting. The best podcast out of all New England. Of independent podcasts? Independent podcast. Oh, amazing. For sure. So I think for me, it makes me feel. In an awarded by who? By what? Awarded by who? The Women in Podcasting Magazine. Very cool. Yes, and it's very cool because I actually got a little metal in the mail. It's not made out of metal, it's made out of wood, but it's a metal nonetheless. It's a wood metal. It's a wood metal. (Both Laughing) Who knew? Anyhow. Very cool. So, yeah, so I'm super proud of this podcast because we, do you feel that we've gone through this ebb and flow on the show? Well, we have, especially we've been ebbing lately because well, I've been absent. We've been ebbing lately because you've been absent. (Both Laughing) No, not ebbing and flowing and just-- Flowing without you. I was just trying to say. Apparently. Actually, our listens have been up, which indicates people are getting something out of it. And I think coming back is gonna shoot it to the roof. Of course. Of course. Because our listeners don't matter. It's the fact that people are getting something out of it. That's the end of the part. We have some listeners that are devoted and friends of the show, which we are so grateful that people have been listening and are part of our world. And that's one of the biggest gifts, I think, that we've gained from this journey that we've been on with podcasting, the business and evolving. That we have, I mean, like, think about it. Think of the people who we have met, who are just these incredible, talented, smart individuals that you just, I don't know, right? Like, when would we have had the opportunity in our regular life, without the business, without podcasting, to kind of cross paths with them? You know? I think of someone like Ashley Kappel, for instance, and wow, Ashley is an attorney. She was the executive director for a housing nonprofit in Colorado. And now her and her co-host, Jessica, have been just going at releasing a high quality local flavor podcast. And it's just so good that they have this passion for the area where they live in the Rocky Mountains. They live in Salida, Colorado. And, excuse me, they, yeah, they want to talk to the people that matter that affect the community and on topics that are important to their community. So I think that for that, I'm grateful, because I don't know, I met Ashley through another client, and Ashley was my coaching client before she came to become a podcasting client. And I think that for me, meeting someone that is so smart, she used to work for Teach for America, she is an attorney, but she is a teacher at heart. And I think that her content, along with Jessica Chariton, is right on. And I know that they're going to continue to grow their show because they have a heart for helping the community, growing the community, making the community better. And I think that this is why we are so on board with supporting individuals like them. Yeah, so it's great. They're 12 episodes in now, and they release every other week. Yes. And it's a good listen. Yeah, it's a good listen. And they're on YouTube and they're in podcasts, and it's Real Estate in the Rockies. Yes, Real Estate in the Rockies. And you know one of the things that I love about Real Estate in the Rockies? That is new for us, and it was like so glad that we had the opportunity to partner with them. They actually record with 90% of their guests in person, which a lot of our other clients record virtually. So I thought that was very cool, and you did such a great job at supporting them and helping them set up their studio. Well, thank you. Well, you're welcome. It was a new experience, doing it remotely. It would have been so much easier if I just went up to Colorado for a vacation. He said to me, he's like, I think I need to go to Colorado. (Laughing) And I'm like, what? You're getting me right. Anyway, yes, but maybe we will go to Colorado. The Rockies are wonderful. Yeah, it'd be nice to get out there and visit them, support them out there, and have a little vacation. Have a little vacation. If you had to go anywhere for a vacation in the next three months, where would you go? In the next three months? Yes, if we had the time in the world, the dogs were fine, my mom was on vacation too. I'd like to just go chill out on a cruise. On a cruise? I don't know why. I don't know why I feel that way right now. Okay, I get down with that. Or resort. You know, speaking of travel and cruises, because I'm in travel algorithm in TikTok, because you know, that's where I get a lot of my news in current events and music now. That's where I'm being introduced to new music on TikTok. Someone advertised, okay, listen to this. It is a transatlantic cruise out of New York City to Barcelona. Barcelona. Barcelona. Let's get it right. And it's 16 days, but you get to go to the pit. 16 days? Yes. How many days in the Atlantic without a stop? No, no, no, you go from here to Nova Scotia. From Nova Scotia, I can't remember the name of the island. There's a middle of the island, middle of the ocean. Yeah, I think I know what you're talking about. Okay, so I think- It's not the North Atlantic, is it? Norwegian cruise, hold on. It's gonna come up because it's in my history still. It's North Atlantic, that's really tight. Anakin. Really? That's nice. Okay, so hold on. So the Norwegian cruise, okay, maybe I should, maybe that's not my history here. Norwegian cruise to Barcelona. We're gonna lose the audience. No, listen, I want you to guess how much the cruise was. How much is the cruise? Yeah, well, take a guess. Oh, you want me to guess? Yeah, I want you to guess, hello. All right, it's one way they need to get the ship over there, it's gonna be about 749 in person. 749 in person, no, no, it's a 16, okay, here we go. 16 days. 16 days, okay, yeah. 16 day transit land from- It depends on how much they need the boat over there. From New York, okay, and this is the itinerary. I think that this is a wonderful itinerary. You go from here to Halifax. I've been to Halifax. Okay, I'm gonna tell you how much it is. Okay, go ahead and tell me. 12.99. No, it's $1,600. That's not far off. You're supposed to guess really high though. But I've looked at these transit land, gotta get the ship over to the Mediterranean cruise. So it goes to Nova Scotia, and then it goes to Sydney in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, which I have been to, by the way. Yes, you have. Because that's where I went to the Celtic Hall Colors Festival. Okay, and that's day four. Day five, you go at sea. Day six at sea. Day seven at sea. And then day eight, you're in the Azores. Isn't that good? Your what-sore? Azores, Azores. At the heart of tourism, the Azores. That's funny. Offers much to sea along with a mild climate. Yeah. Okay. And then after the Azores, it goes to Melilla. No, it goes to, hold on. No, there's, okay, there's a lot here. You go to Gibraltar. And then you-- Who, where? Gibraltar. Like the rock. Like the rock. But like Dwayne Johnson. Not Dwayne Johnson Rock, the rock, dude. I know where that is. Okay, then. It's the very tip that if you, they've thought about putting a bridge across that. But did you know that that's a United Kingdom? What is United Kingdom? Gibraltar. The Rock of Gibraltar. Okay. Okay, then you go to Spain. That's the entrance to the Mediterranean. I understand, but then you go to Motryl, Spain, which is a magnificent Spanish gem. Is that how you say it in Spanish? Motryl. Thank you, come on. Motryl is a magnificent Spanish gem in the Mediterranean coast. And it is, I think, in Africa, not Spain, Spain. It's like where, kind of where Monaco is, right? Morocco. Morocco. Monaco is in the other side by France. It starts with an M and a no. Okay, got it. Okay, so after Motryl, you're going to go to Melilla. Melilla. What? Oh, no, Motryl is not in Africa. Melilla, Spain, is in the North African coast. But it's all in the Mediterranean. Yes, and then you go to Ibiza. And then you go to-- Ibiza. Majorca, and then Barcelona. That sounds so freaking amazing. That sounds wonderful. I mean, 16 days, that's two weeks. That's a long time. You know what? The price of the cruise has gone up because the interior cabins are out. All you have are balcony cabins. Well, very cool. If anybody wants a look at the cruise. It's not an ad, but it should be because we're doing it justice here. Julie. Yes, Dan. I need to bring up another one of the podcasts that I edit. Oh, okay. Who do you wanna bring up this time? Well, let's bring all of them up because they're all really cool. And we talked about real estate in the Rockies. We spoke about binge breakthrough. Yes. Okay, should I guess which one you're gonna bring up next? Nope, because you're not gonna get it right. I am gonna get it right. I'm always right. I don't think, you gotta be honest and tell me whether you got it right or not. Okay. I wanna talk about Natalie Kaim and chat with Nat. I was gonna say either Natalie or Kristen, but- You don't have a huge pool to pull from. So yeah, you can- We have a good amount of pool. Yeah, we have a good amount of pool. Come on, give ourselves credit. But Natalie, chat with Nat. She's been a caregiver for quite some time with her parents. With her parents, yeah. And she lost her mom recently. And she kept pushing through as long as she could doing episodes. And she's, there came a time where that wasn't possible when her mom passed away. She's up to 118 episodes. I know. And with us, she'd been, sorry. She's been plugging along. She's been with us since the beginning. And if you are a caregiver, you're going through similar things with your parents, she's got a lot of incredible great episodes that not only inform on that subject, but also help people deal with the emotion of going through that kind of things. It was very, very, very good. It's very good. And I have to say for me being a caregiver, and here, I was thinking about this the other day, when we said, oh, my mom should come live with us, it was mainly because she needed to move and she couldn't live alone. But I think I still had in my brain, a picture of my mom would live here and she would be more independent than she is and not as reliant on me. And I think that that's been the biggest adjustment for me. And I am not like a very, I mean, okay, do you think I'm tender? Sometimes. Do you consider me to be like a good nurse? You're a firm nurse that suffers no fools. Well said, well said. So for me, it's very challenging because I think that sometimes, and I look at Natalie in the way that she cared for her mom, Natalie was very tender. And not to say that I'm not tender and that I couldn't be tender, but I think that for me, that comes a little more difficult, especially because I think I have a different relationship with my mom than Natalie had with hers. Well, you're the caregiver that aggressively communicates with the doctors. Sure. Like you get the whole story, that's your strength. And of course you show care and love to your mother, but some, you're firm about it, you need to do this, you need to do this. Yeah. And so, but as far as Natalie is concerned, her podcast is so good. And she's talked about some episodes on planning for a funeral. And I think that difficult conversations, but I think that they need to be had. Yep, and her podcast has shifted. It used to be purely a financial podcast. And now she speaks about more personal things. Yeah. But the way she actually weaves in the financial aspect of personal things is incredible. It's freaking brilliant, she does a really good job. Natalie is incredible. And that's chat with Nat. Chat with Nat. So, I'm gonna go the other way. Natalie has dealt, she has dealt with and part of her podcast has been dealing with later in life and end of life. There's a lot of decisions too. So we're gonna go the other way. I'm gonna speak about another one of her podcasts. Oh, I know this is the one that I thought you were gonna talk about first. In the podcast called "Mom Doc Talk." "Mom Doc Talk." With Kristin Cook. Kristin is the host and the author of her book, "Parenting Redefined." And Kristin is a- Doctor. Yeah. Pediatrician. She's a pediatrician. And we helped her with her book launch. And we're so proud of the ability that she trusted us to help this bring the book out to the world in addition to bringing her podcast because we helped her launch the podcast. And talk about another gifted woman. She is incredibly passionate about helping parents learn how to, her mission, okay, this is her mission. Her mission is to promote good parenting skills by teaching parents simple, and this is my favorite part, neuroscience-based behaviors and ways to manage or to parent, basically not manage. That's not the right word. And I think that this is, the gift that she has is that she helps parents really get inside their children's heads and without it being this confusing, but she shows the readers how they can parent the child they have, not the one that they wish they had. And that's her, that is her tagline. That is her tagline. I know. So how do you do it, Daniel, that you are, you listen to a lot of these women talk and you listen to, how do you keep it all straight? I've listened to a lot of women talk my whole life. It's, I guess it's not different now. I'm raised by a mother. Raised by a single mom. Who was a widow. And you know what? I relate, I get it. You get it. I think that that's one of the strengths that you have as a producer and editor is that you, I don't wanna say you think like a woman, but you're familiar. I'll say it. Mike Rouse, I would say so. (Laughing) Oh my goodness. So yeah, so I think that that's one of the things that gives you that unique perspective. And yeah, I love that about you, by the way. So go ahead, check out Mom Doc Talk. How many episodes does Kristen have? Kristen has. She just had a hundred episode release. I knew that. Did she? Oh no, she's coming up in a hundred. She's at 92. Dropping this month, this week is gonna be her 92nd episode. Mom Doc Talk. I know, I'm right. 8.20. Yes. Already happened. 92 is this week. So she's approaching 100. She's approaching 100. So she said-- Love that. I have two more people I wanna go over, three. Three more people? So I'm gonna accelerate just a little bit. Go ahead, accelerate. So I think we should go to someone. We're talking about different parts of life and what you go through. And another part of life is living with a chronic condition. Ooh, this is gonna be my favorite one to talk about. Is it why? Because you're the guest on her show this week? I'm coming up from being guest on her show. So the podcast is called Beyond My Diagnosis. It ends with Michele Weston. Michele Weston is another, well, talk about an interesting person. You know, when I was saying that we have these incredible clients and women that we surround ourselves with, that we are so lucky. Michele Weston actually was an editor for a fashion magazine in New York City. She's also an author, but she changed. She was diagnosed with MS over 20 years ago, and she changed the trajectory of her life. And she went back to school to become a health coach. And not only does she do that, but she's also a patient advocate. And this is the one thing that I feel that in the health industry, you need to learn to speak up, to be your own advocate, and to ask the questions, and to even question the doctors. Because I think a lot of times, especially for us women, Dan, the doctors will just say, "Okay, we'll take this," or, "Don't worry about it. It's just menopause," or they won't even acknowledge menopause. But you have to be able to say, "No, there's gotta be more." And sometimes we really need to do that. And Michele is a great advocate for people. Amazing. And the subjects that she talks about, I mean, this week is gonna be about showgrins, Showgrins, yeah. which is an autoimmune. She talks about MS. Other types of autoimmune. And not only about the disease, or syndrome, or whatever we're talking about, but talking about what daily life with that is, and what things you can do beyond, beyond the medikins, beyond the medicines, beyond what the doctors having you take, going into food. She had a really great episode not too long ago that was about how to age well with a chronic illness and healthy aging, independence, living beyond a diagnosis. And I thought that that was really good. And the other one, she explores these topics from a different perspective that you may hear. The one also that was very good is the brain you can't see. And my brain with MS and ADHD. And that was a great episode for her as well. And she had a two part series on inflammation. And inflammation is something that affects all of us. It sure does. Regardless of whether you have a chronic condition or not. That was a good episode. I really enjoyed- It's two episodes actually. You're right, two episodes. I only heard the first one just so far. I mean, it's hard to keep up with everybody. Plus all the other podcasts that I listened to. But yes, her episode was good. And what I loved about it is, I didn't realize her episodes are not very long. And when we were recording, we ran out of time. How long was our episode? Do you remember? I'm not sure. It's under an hour. Yeah, it's under an hour. But we were just talking and talking. Well, it's so easy to do that with her. So the podcast is "Beyond My Diagnosis with Michele Weston." And that's Michele with one L by the way. Michele with one L, that's correct. Michele with one L. And she is one of Julie's fellow New Yorkers also. I know, I love her. Julie. What? Who knew? Who knew what? Who knew we would have a production company at this point in our life where we helped and empowered people to have their voice. I knew. You knew we were gonna be doing this? No, you did not. I knew whatever we set out to do, we would do well. I know, but who knew we'd had not only a production company, but we'd have not one, but two clients who had podcasts in the real estate sector. Are we nishing ourselves? No, we're not nishing, but yes. Is it nishing or niching? Nish. Nishing, niche, niche. It's however you wanna say it. However you wanna say it. I mean, the riches are in the niches. According to Pat Flynn. Next person we wanna talk about is Mary Foerster. Mary Foerster. In her podcast, it's called Real Estate Connections. And I think that everything is so interconnected. Okay, think about it this way. If you're a woman in midlife, you're in the sandwich generation, and one of the first things that start to happen is you may be going through helping a parent and caregiving for a parent, and there's decisions to be made when it comes to maybe, does your parents stay at home? Do they move? Do you put them in a home? Or do you sell? Do you downsize? Do you get a tiny home? Do you go to RV? Or do you just, you know, what do you do? And that's just one aspect of real estate connections. I mean, the real story here is building connections in life, and building connections in real estate, that's what makes you successful there. And Mary has incredible guests on. She talks about all kinds of things when it comes to, what was the one thing she spoke about? Oh, ADUs. I didn't know what an ADU was. Accessually Dwelling Unit. Access, what, say it again? Accessory Dwelling Units. Accessory Dwelling Units in Massachusetts. They allow those. I was just watching a video. We could build one outside if you want. Which is basically a second home on your property for like your parents. Or in a podcast studio. Or a podcast studio. We could do that. And that's incredible things. They turned about turnkey investments also, and other things within. I don't know a lot about the real estate, in the real estate world, but you know what? Mary does, and her guests do. And they're incredible. And Julie's been on the show also. I've been on the show as well. And here's the tagline, well, we're working on a tagline with her, but real estate decisions change as life changes. During the mastermind meeting, the co-op, on a couple of Wednesdays ago, I was talking about not that we wanna go ahead and jump into the social media trends, but that we needed to be aware because sometimes we're not, I'm not saying you need to dance and point at the words and the screen and, you know, try to be something you're not, but sometimes you may be able to leverage the little bit of the algorithm if you leverage a little bit of the trends. And out of all the people that were in that meeting, all the women that were there and thought it was a good idea, she is the only person who created a social media post jumping into the trend that I pointed out to everybody. Oh, I've noticed her post changing the last week or two. Well, it didn't change because of me. She's doing a lot of the work herself. However-- I know she's doing the work, but that's kind of-- But she listened, you know, which I like it when people listen to my expertise. Of course. Not that I have all the answers and that I write all the time because apparently Utah is definitely, Utah is next to Nevada. I thought Utah was above Nevada, so I guess, yeah. Let's talk about the podcast though. So the cool thing about Control Your Career, well, let's go back. In previous seasons, well, earlier on in her podcast, until recently, Julie has done seasons. Very digestible, you know, 12, 13 episode seasons. Yes, of a topic or area. And a certain topic. But even now, now she's gone to once a week episodes. And the cool thing about what she does, it's very digestible. Yeah, it is. You know, it's not an overwhelming amount of-- Oh no, she's not a firehosing you at all. There is a lot of information, but it's very digestible. But she doesn't fire those people. She doesn't fire hose people. That's the thing that I love about it. Hey, I'm looking at the map of the United States and not to go off on a tangent, but if there is a line at the top of North Carolina and you could pretty much North Carolina, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, and it looks like a straight line across the United States. If you go-- It's not a straight line, it's a curved. Because the earth is low. Yeah, the earth is round. Well, whatever, but it's like a line. Did you know that Connecticut? Yes. Territory? Connecticut used to stretch all the way to the Pacific Ocean? I did? Yeah, look at the top of Pennsylvania and how that is the same longitude as the top of Connecticut. Yeah. And that used to extend all the way to the West Coast. So Connecticut could have been Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming, Colorado, Idaho, all of those were Connecticut. All the same thickness as Connecticut all the way across the country. Matter of fact, all the first matter of fact, all the colonies did. Because that was the king decreed that. Okay, so Connecticut, part of Connecticut was Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa. Michigan is above Connecticut. Oh, whatever. Well, that's the hand, okay. So Iowa, Nebraska. So where would it be in the top of California? You gotta look at it. I'm looking at the back. You gotta look at longitude lines. That's complicated. Longitude lines, whatever. Well, the host of Brave Moves is your host is the most is. Let's not talk about what state she lives in because I don't want to get on another sidebar about how many states you've been to. Why don't you talk about why I started Brave Moves? Well, Julie DeLuca is the host of Brave Moves. It's a daily-ish, you forgot the daily-ish podcast. Daily-ish, daily-ish. Well, I wouldn't know that, you know why? Because I'm not involved in the production, editing or anything. Or anything with the show. I watched the show and that was the point of the show. That was the point of the show. Because Julie was saying, you know what, to several people, if you want to do a podcast, just do it. Just do it. And a lot of the responses to that were, well, I don't really have the money for an editor and you know, it's easy for you because you have Dan. Right. And he'll do it for you. So Julie's like, okay. And she talked to me about 20 days in, hey, you know, I've been doing a daily podcast for 20 days? Why, who's editing it? Do it myself. Do it me, myself and I. And she did the podcast for how many episodes? Every single day. I'm still, I am at almost 200 episodes. Almost at 200 episodes. And when did you start the podcast? October. Last doc, has it even been a year and she's up to 200 episodes. It's a daily-ish episode. But you went how many months before you actually skipped a day? I think I skipped a day sometime like six months in. And it's probably because I miscalculated my recordings. And I actually did not hit, I did not schedule it, it was in there. So these are episodes very, they're short. They're in "Shot of Confidence." Little solo episodes. And yeah, we were thinking about doing a podcast years ago called "Little Shot of Confidence." And we're gonna do that, but this is basically version 2.0 of that. Yes. And this is the in production. Yeah. The in production version. You wanna hear what I talked about, what I've been talking about in the last couple of days? Why don't you let me know? I'm gonna let you know because apparently you don't listen to the podcast. I don't. Because what? You don't wanna listen to me and my greatness? You know, you could listen to it on the way to work. I listen to it sometimes. Oh, when I tell you to. Yes, I listen to it sometimes. You hear that? Some supportive husband here. Okay, so I've been talking about figuring out what you want out of your daily life or what do you want in your life? And I wanted to talk about mainly how, we have all these different areas in our life and sometimes we just go about life with the white noise of life, right? We just kind of let life happen. Like sometimes we put the mail on top of the counter and like it just like it's there and we don't even notice it's there. Why do you put me on top of the counter? The mail, mail, like really dude? She'll get the joke in a second. I got it, I got it, I got it when you said it, but I'm like. No, you didn't. Yes, I got it when you said it. Give me some credit. Yeah, that can choose look on your face. No, I did not. I knew, I knew. I knew what you were saying. I was just choosing to, are you? (Laughing) You're not even starting to go there. So everyone wants a mail, put them on the counter. Put them on the counter. Okay, so but what I was trying to say to you is all of these different areas in life, right? What do you, can you even name the different areas of life? The different areas of life? Yeah, like if you had to categorize life into different areas, what would they be? I don't know, probably a mitochondrial. Oh my God, no, no, now you're nerding out. This is not a nerding podcast. This is a, you know, entertainment podcast, okay. What did you tell me? Okay, so there's eight main areas of life, right? And those could include, let's see, spirituality, health and fitness, there is career or job or business. Then you have relationships. Then I'm like. How about leisure? That's, that's fun. That's the area of life that's fun. Fun, it falls under fun. Yeah, fun. So, okay, so here are the core areas, career and work, health and body, relationships, money and finances, personal growth, fun and recreation, spirituality, or meaning, and environment. So the one thing in, I'm hosting a retreat in October, and this is a little bit of what we're talking about is recalibrating life, but the thing about the different areas of life is that it's sort of like we're trying to juggle everything. And for instance, for me, in spring, I was going go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, and I neglected one area of life, which was my health, right? And that happens a lot. So we have to create intentionality. And I've been giving everybody a challenge of how to be able to, you know, not that you're gonna be perfect at every single one at every single time, because sometimes you need to say, I'm gonna ask you one thing, just note to another, but you do need to be aware. And the best thing is like, what is it that you don't want in your life in each area? And that can help define how you wanna move on with everything that you do. So that's what I've been talking about in mapping out life in all these different areas. And yeah, in the podcast and Brave Moves, one of my signature things is that at the end of the episode, I give you one Brave Move that you can take daily. So that's it. That's awesome. Yeah. So, and I promise her episodes are short and sweet and probably shorter than the explanation she just gave about it. Oh my God, you gotta be kidding me. It's very, no, what I'm saying is their spoon, they're like teaspoon sized. Yeah, like you can go to the bathroom and do your morning thing and be done with the episode as you're listening.
